Do You Know Jesus? Do you want to know Jesus? Have you ever wondered who Jesus is? Are you confident that you are going to Heaven? Are you convinced beyond a shadow of doubt, that your thoughts and ideas about eternity are correct? Do you have true peace in your heart? Maybe you have prayed the “Sinner’s Prayer” but you are still not sure that you will go to Heaven when you die. If you wish to be sure, then please read further. Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived on earth and taught people about God. He was then and still is the Son of God. He was not “just a prophet” as some teach. Jesus lived a life free from sin and conducted miracles while He was on earth. Jesus was crucified, taking my place and yours as payment for our sins, because the wages for sin is death (Romans 6:23). You may ask, “If He was really the son of God, then how could he be killed by man?” Man was able to kill Jesus only because this was the plan of God to save us from our sins. Three days after Jesus died; He rose from the dead and He is now sitting at the right hand of God. The Bible teaches in Romans 10:9 - 10 that if you believe this in your heart and confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, you shall be saved. There are two-parts: 1) you must BELIEVE this, and 2) you must ASK Jesus into your heart. Asking this for someone else does not work, nor can someone else ask Jesus into your heart for you. Asking this without believing it does not work, and believing this without asking does not work. If you wish to know Jesus, to be saved then please pray this prayer, saying it to God and meaning it with ALL YOUR HEART…
“Dear God, I believe that Jesus is your Son, and that He was born of a virgin as the Bible states. I believe that Jesus lived a holy life, a life without sin, and that He died for my sins. Lord Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart and forgive me of all my sins. I ask you to be the Lord of my life. I denounce satan and all his works. Jesus, I thank you for coming into my life, and saving me; that you are NOW my Lord. Lord Jesus, I ask you to make me your disciple for the rest of my life.
Praying this prayer and believing it is a step of faith. You may or may not “FEEL” anything; that is why it is a step of faith. No man can “save” you, nor can any man “forgive” you. If after praying this prayer, you sin, tell God what you did and ask Him to forgive you as the Bible teaches in 1 John 1:9 (If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness). Do not try to hide or ignore the sin. Your next step should be to locate a good, strong church in your area. Look for a church where you can learn more about Jesus, and how to follow Jesus, growing stronger in Him, daily. You should also start reading your Bible every day. I suggest you start reading in the book of John. Daily prayer should also start now, and you pray by talking to God in the name of Jesus, as you would talk with a close friend. If you have prayed this prayer, please email, call or mail our ministry to let us know so we can pray for you. - Glenn |
